Dr. Brian Walker moved to Jackson in 2008 from Tupelo, Mississippi. His superior level of compassionate care makes him the perfect addition to Cancer Care Center. Dr. Walker completed his undergraduate work at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, and his three year fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Walker is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He was awarded the 2006 Spencer L. Schreiter Memorial Fellowship for Excellence in Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Walker believes that there is always hope for any patient and that personalized care is the key to a successful treatment plan. He carefully listens to his patients’ concerns, answers their questions and involves them in the decision-making process when selecting treatments.
He and his wife, Kim, are the proud parents of four children. In his spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys reading, sports, cooking and music. He is proud to be part of the Cancer Care Center team and finds Jackson to be the perfect place for his family and practice.
